It\u2019s a huge, ugly, multi-fanged beast, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-08-03\/silicon-valley-didn-t-inherit-discrimination-but-replicated-it-anyway\">appalling lack of diversity in Silicon Valley<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/opinion\/2020\/07\/29\/big-tech-abuses-consumers-stop-online-discrimination-column\/5525703002\/\">algorithms<\/a>&nbsp;that are spreading systemic bias faster than COVID-19 (and with equally devastating effects).<br>Definitely depressing and not a little overwhelming. But here are a few resources that have had a particular impact on me:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>If you have 5 minutes<\/strong>: Watch Joy Buolamwini\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HZxV9w2o0FM&amp;ab_channel=HarvardUniversity\">AI, Ain\u2019t I a Woman<\/a>?
